The works on the Grange Centre Games Hall ceiling will commence on the 28th of November.

Hopefully the works will be finished by Christmas but there’s no firm finish date available.

Due to a long overdue ceiling and lighting upgrade the Grange Centre will be unavailable for archery from late November until Christmas. We don’t have firm dates yet for the closure but once they become available I will place an update.

Hi Guys

Yes it’s that time of the year again where I come to rack yer brains and take yer money! For those that haven’t guessed what I’m talking about – ya numpties – Its CHRISTMAS NIGHT OUT TIME HEHE

I want all members to think of places they would like to go to this year and send me your ideas once i have a few suggestions i,ll put them to you and we can decide who has the joy of our lovely faces at christmas time.

Last year on 10th December about 14 members of the club enjoyed a night out at the Leapark Hotel in Grangemouth – it was a good night.

And whilst we’re talk about nights out i would like to get some social nights/days organised so suggestions for them would be great – I still really fancy the Paintballing – can be anything such as meal or barbecue to something more adventurous.

Saturday Evening Sessions Cancelled

Due to lack of interest the regular Saturday evening sessions have been cancelled until the indoor season starts again.

Grange Centre EGM!

The Grange Centre EGM is being held on the 1st of June at 7.30pm at the centre. A new Chair needs to be elected and the subject of membership and session fees will be up for discussion.

We really need a good turn out from the Archery Club.

Twitter and Facebook feeds

The Grange Archery Club website now auto publishes to Twitter and Facebook which means I can now kill 3 birds with one stone when distributing information.

We are on Twitter under @GrangeAC and on Facebook under Grange Archery Club.

The next step is to integrate the website properly with the Google Group and I’ll get that pesky fourth bird and have all bases covered

Club Information Update May 2011

We are currently shooting outdoors at Bathgate Sports Centre on a Sunday morning as guests of Balbardie Archers. As such there are no scheduled indoor sessions at the Grange Centre on a Sunday morning until September. If weather makes outdoor shooting impractical then a decision will be made on the day whether or not to shoot indoors on a Sunday.

Indoor sessions on a Saturday evening are still available at the Grange but attendance is dwindling as it usually does towards the summer. These sessions will be reviewed on a week by week basis and if attendance does not pick up they will be cancelled until after the summer.

Grange Archery Club will not be offering any beginners courses over the summer months – check back for updates on potential dates for courses.

As ever, experienced archers who wish to shoot with us are always welcome subject to membership of GNAS and an informal assessment of safety/ability.
