Renewal fees for Archery GB are due by the 29th of August (preferably earlier). For this year’s costs see the Subscriptions and Fees page.
Hand the money over to Ralph who will give you a receipt.
Grange Centre fees are also due by the 1st of September (don’t worry about being late – we can pay them once we move indoors again). Costs haven’t changed from last year.
I’ve decided to pull my finger out and update the website. I’ve upgraded to WordPress 3.0 and will be using the default theme temporarily while I work on a new layout.
I’ll retrospectively update some posts on what’s been going on in the last few months as well. Some club records will need to be updated too.
Bear with me
Tom was the only archer representing Grange at the Bannockburn Open FITA this year. David, Josie and Kevin attended as well but were obviously representing Balbardie and Martin was there representing Bannockburn.
Tom successfully defended the Gents Recurve Trophy with a final score of 1128 (including a 30m PB of 334) with Martin coming 2nd with a score of 1063 and Kevin 5th with 929. David went one better from last year and won the Gents Compound Trophy with a score of 1314. Josie came 2nd in Ladies Compound with a score of 1211.
Well done to all!
We will be back outdoors from Sunday 4th April. This year we will be officially shooting as guests of Balbardie on Sundays as it made much more sense to book the field through them rather than paying per head on the day.
Various options are available for payment for shooting outdoors at Bathgate. You can either pay a visitors fee to Balbardie each time or join Balbardie as an associate member (Summer associate membership is available for Sundays only or for all 3 days Balbardie shoot). Speak to Josie about costs etc.
There will be targets set up at whatever distances you’re comfortable shooting. I would like to see folks shooting rounds though rather than just pinging arrows (especially the Juniors!

The 2009/2010 AGM will be held on the 1st of November 2009 at the Grange Centre in Brightons. It will take place at about 11.00am at tea break. All club members are welcome.
The final 2009 Outdoor Rankings are now available in the members section of the SAA website. A number of Grange members (full and associate) have made it onto the rankings this year.
Ladies Compound:
Josie – 7th Place
Gents Compound:
David – 8th
Ken – 13th
Jim – 18th
Gents Recurve:
Tom – 10th
Murray – 12th
Well done everyone and good luck for 2010!
8 members of Grange AC took part in at least one of the days of the 2009 Balbardie Double FITA.
At the Eastern Area Championships on the Saturday, David came 2nd in the Gents Compound Competition and Tom came 3rd in the Gents Recurve.
Ken came 6th in Gents Compound for the Double FITA and got the Double 50m medal; and Struan came 7th and got the Double 30m medal. In Gents Recurve Tom came 5th for the Double and got the Double 90m medal.
Special mention has to go to Struan who achieved his 1100 FITA star on the Saturday and his 1200 FITA star on the Sunday. This means that in every WRS FITA he has attended he has gained a FITA star – roll on 1300!
Renewal fees for Archery GB are due by the 12th of September. For this year’s costs see the Subscriptions and Fees page.

Grange Centre fees are also due by the 1st of September (not that it usually matters if they’re a wee bit late). I think costs are the same as last year but I’ll check and add them to the website.
